Dental Assisting is a skill that you can apply in any location that you choose to live. This program will give students the training and confidence necessary to become a Dental Assistant. Classes include lecture and hands-on practical training.
About Dr. Lamothe:
Graduated from Louisiana State University in 1973, Francois spent 9 years of his career in Public Health in Saskatchewan, Canada. In a province-sponsored dental program and then a Federal program, he supervised Dental Therapists treating children in under-serviced rural schools throughout the province. The Dental Therapist would be assigned a school clinic and would perform anesthesia, operative preparations and restorations on primary and secondary teeth. Dr. Lamothe supervised 15 Therapist/assistant teams in a region the size of Connecticut.
Dr. Lamothe is the Coordinator of Dental Programs at York County Community College. He is licensed in Maine and New Hampshire and works part time a Portsmouth Dental Studios, a general practice at Pease International Tradeport in Portsmouth, NH.
He is head instructor of the Expanded Function Dental Assistant Program and also teaches a Radiology Course as a preparation for the Dental Assistant National Board Exam.
