Admissions & Financial Aid Checklist

YCCC's Admissions process is completely focused on listening to you.  What is your story? What are you passionate about? What challenges stand in your way?



How to apply for admission.

  • Call to schedule an advising session with an admissions representative to discuss your educational goals.
  • Submit your online application.  Online applicants will receive confirmation of their application via email.
  • Request an official copy of your high school transcript or GED to be sent directly to YCCC.  If you are looking to transfer credits for previous college classes taken, request a college transcript to be sent directly to YCCC.
  • Set up an Assessment/Registration appointment for assessment testing (if necessary) and class registration.  And start your journey!

How to apply for financial aid.

  • Go to the Financial Aid section of yccc.edu to access the "Free Application for Federal Student Aid" (FAFSA) link.
  • Register for a FAFSA personal identification number (PIN). Receive your PIN immediately, and prepare for filing the FAFSA by organizing your previous tax year's tax return(s).
  • Complete the FAFSA with your PIN and YCCC's school code 031229
  • Review your Student Aid Report (SAR) from the Dept of Education
  • Once you are formally are accepted to YCCC, you will receive an Award Letter from the Financial Aid Office confirming the various types of aid you are eligible for.
  • Utilize online tools for current information.  The Financial Aid Office will mail instructions on viewing your award through the college's website.  Using your assigned YCCC email will also be important.
