Early College for ME - From high school to college

Early College for ME is a high school-to-college transition program, offering participating students the opportunity to receive a Maine community college scholarship, take an early college course (if available and with school approval), and have support and advising from ECforME staff. Students are chosen to participate by their high school in their junior year. The program is now offered in 74 high schools statewide.

Dual Enrollment

Dual Enrollment is an early college experience for high school and home-schooled juniors and seniors who wish to experience a college classroom, explore career options, and earn both high school and college credit at the same time!Students may register for general education and technical courses if they meet the course prerequisites. Math, English and lab sciences will require the Accuplacer placement test or appropriate SAT or ACT scores.

Concurrent Enrollment

Concurrent Enrollment, like Dual Enrollment, provides the opportunity for high school level juniors and seniors to earn college credit and high school credit at the same time, but allows a student to take YCCC courses at a high school location nearer to them.

AdvantageU

AdvantageU is a partnership between the University of Maine System and the Maine Community College System. Students in the Associates of Arts degree in Liberal Studies at York County Community College who register for the program and meet all of program the requirements receive guaranteed admission* to any of Maine's public universities and experience a simplified transfer process.
