York County Community College welcomes applications from students who have been schooled in the home. All applications from home-schooled students will be evaluated as soon as possible after the Admissions Office has received the following:
Application Requirements
- Visiting YCCC for a one-on-one meeting with an Admissions Representative or an on campus Admissions event is strongly recommended prior to applying
- Complete the online or paper application and return it to the Admissions Office at York County Community College.

- Submit your $20 application fee.
- A certified transcript documenting the completion of the student's home-schooled program, provided by one of Maine's certifying organizations:
Upon Acceptance
- Attend the Assessment and Registration session assigned to you in your acceptance letter. This session is especially important to home schooled students because it determines your "ability to benefit" based on federal guidelines. Any home schooled student not meeting the minimum required Accuplacer scores, as determined by the federal government, may not be eligible for financial aid.
- Complete your immunization form included in your acceptance packet and return it to the Student Services Office.
- Use your user name and password to begin checking you YCCC email for important news and student updates. Application Requirements.
