WEEK 1/July 6 – 10, 2015

European Desserts - Ages 11 - 14, $235
A wonderful opportunity to work in a professional kitchen and learn to make delicious tarts, torts, quiche, pate au choux, French macaroons, puff pastry, and even candies! Instructor: Krista Cochran, YCCC Faculty, Culinary Arts
Lego Camp - Ages 7 - 10, $225
Campers will use basic programming controls for the LEGO MINDSTORMS® Robotics Kit and the RCX programmable brick, using touch and light sensors, lamps and motors. Campers will explore, investigate, and design working robot models to solve project challenges. This is an introduction to the concept of robotics and robotics engineering. WEEK 2/July 13 – 17, 2017

Baking Boot Camp - Ages 7 - 10, $235
Campers new to baking will learn to measure, weigh and mix. They’ll learn about the science behind baking and see what it’s like in a professional bakery. Campers will delight in making lots of yummy treats! Instructor: Krista Cochran, YCCC Faculty, Culinary Arts
Clay Creatures Camp - Ages 11 - 14, $225
This camp will teach you to create creatures from clay using armature and learning to mold and create a form, then surface and finalize your sculpture. Instructor: Mike Lee, YCCC Faculty, Digital Media
Advanced LEGO Camp - Ages 11 - 14, $225
Campers will continue to learn about the concept of robotics and robotics engineering using basic programming controls for the LEGO MINDSTORMS® Robotics Kit and the RCX programmable brick, using touch and light sensors, lamps and motors. Graphic Novel Camp - Ages 11 -1 4, $ $225
This camp will help you put together your own graphic novel starting with story line, character development and continuing with artwork and graphics. Instructor: Mike Lee, YCCC Faculty, Digital Media
Cooking Around the World Camp - Ages 7 -1 2, $235 - CAMP FULL!
Campers will get to create dishes from around the world. They will learn about various countries: their cuisine and culture. Experience international delights in this camp! Instructor: Krista Cochran, YCCC Faculty, Culinary Arts

WEEK 4/ July 27 – 31, 2015

Computer Animation Camp - Ages 11 - 14, $225
Traditional concepts with focus on 2d computer animation will be learned and incorporated into their work. Each camper will have the opportunity to create his/her own animation. Instructor: Mike Lee, YCCC Faculty, Digital Media
NEW - Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's Sea Pearch at YCCC
Taught by Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Instructors at YCCC, the Sea Perch program leads your child in a unique STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)  initiative during this five day camp. Students work alongside
teachers to construct an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV).

 WEEK 5/ August 3 – 7, 2015

Computer Gaming Camp - Ages 11 - 14, $225
Campers will be introduced to concepts in computer gaming and will create and learn basic game design skills as they develop and design their own game. Instructor: Mike Lee, YCCC Faculty, Digital Media
Survivor Camp - Ages 11 - 14, $225
Our week will focus on how to survive in the wild with limited equipment. Can you build a shelter with a tarp? How do you find safe water to drink? Can you light a fire without a match? Do you know what wild foods you can eat? Our basic syllabus is the Order of Survival: shelter, water, fire, and food. Instructor: Claudia Stephens – Broad Winged Farm, Wells
Graphic Design Camp - Ages 10 - 14, $225
Graphic design is all around us. We see it every day on TV, the web, video games, IPADs, magazines, and billboards just to name a few. Campers learn the basics of graphic design through an introduction to shape, color, typography, layout, brainstorming, and more. They will delve into different methods of conventional and digital graphic design with hands-on experiences in labs with introductions to Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
