Program Description
The
Mechanical Concentration of the CAD Degree prepares students for
positions in industry as a CAD drafter, technical illustrator, and
designer. The curriculum provides courses in basic engineering
principles and standards as well as hands-on applications.
Students participate in team
projects to learn problem solving, critical thinking, communication and
technical skills. The CAD department constantly upgrades to the
latest AutoCAD software, which allows students to graduate with leading
edge skills.
To be successful in this program it is desirable that students
have a background in computers and math, and have an aptitude for
spatial thinking.
