Program Description
The CAD Degree
prepares students for positions as a drafter or designer for a variety
of engineering and design related companies. The curriculum integrates
design methods and materials, structural mechanics and the creation of
engineering documents. Students participate in team projects to learn
problem solving, critical thinking, communication and technical skills.
The CAD department constantly upgrades to the latest Autodesk software,
which allows students to graduate with leading edge skills. To be
successful in this program it is desirable that students have a
background in computers and math, and have an aptitude for spatial
thinking.
