Ecology Camp

 Ages 7-10

Instructor:  Torrey Joy from Massabesic Middle School

 Ecology is the branch of science concerned with the interrelationship of organisms and their environments.  This exciting and informative camp will explore animals and their role in nature, soil studies, water studies, ecosystems, reuse vs. recycle and much, much more. 
        

Each day will combine areas of study as some of the projects require more time.  Weather will play a role as to when we can get outside.  Lessons will be planned around the forecast to some extent but we will be going out in light rainy conditions if that’s all that’s available. 

Students will be asked to contribute some supplies such as:

-           2 small, clean screw cap jars (plastic or glass)

-           2 or 3 (clean) 2 L soda bottles  

-           1 week’s stack of newspapers (or more)  

-           1 plastic milk jug (1 qt to gallon size)

Show and Tell on Friday at 2:00 p.m.
