COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides
didactic instruction for advanced operative procedures
-
Prerequisite - The course
may be taken by Certified Dental Assistants and Registered Dental
Hygienists.

This Course is offered the
2nd week-end of each month - starting January 2008 thru December 2008.

Tuition $4,500 plus cost of
supplies and lab fee.

Students must have
sponsoring restorative dentist participate with him/her in the program by
being responsible for supervising the student's field training.
COURSE PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of the EFDA program is to prepare motivated individuals to become
competent and knowledgeable expanded functions dental assistants. This course
teaches the EFDA student all the skills necessary to make the transition from
chairside assistant to expanded functions dental assistant. The student learns
the materials needed to develop competence and expanded functions laboratory.
After the laboratory competence is reached, the student then practices these
skills in clinic (satellite offices) until clinical competency is achieved.
