Electricity
I
This
course is the first of a five course series that will lead to a Limited
Electrical License. Covered in this
course will be the basics of DC Circuits. Atomic
structure, Ohm’s Law, basic components as well as mathematical approach to
solving Series, Parallel and Complex circuits will be covered.
Electricity
II
This
course covers fundamentals and applications of AC circuits.
The course will cover AC voltage and current, inductance, inductive
reactance, capacitance, and capacitive reactance.
RC and RL time constants, resonance and filter circuits will also be
covered.
Controls
This
course is for students who have completed Electricity I and Electricity II.
It will
encompass:
- Preparing
and planning a residential wiring job
- Residential
service entrances and equipment
- Residential
electrical system rough-in
- Residential
electrical system trim-out
- Maintaining
& troubleshooting a residential electrical wiring system
Blueprint
Reading
This
course covers sketching, projections, and perspectives, scaling and dimensions,
and residential print reading as it pertains to single and two family dwellings.

Hr NEC
The
current 45 HR National Electrical Code is covered.
