The
Phlebotomist is and integral part of the health care team.
It is the duty of the phlebotomist to obtain the best possible blood
sample from the patient as the physician relies on the results to determine the
patient’s correct diagnosis.
Course
description
This
course will provide you with the basic skills needed to pursue an entry level
phlebotomist position. This
phlebotomy course consists of 90 hours plus additional daytime clinical
instruction in a hospital setting. This
affords the student to perform supervised blood draws from actual patients.

Preanalytical Complications
Students
must take a pre-placement assessment test prior to start of course.
Class size
is limited to 12 students.
