The focus of the Career and Transfer Services office is to educate and inform students about careers and transition into the working world and transfer to colleges and universities.  We assist students by providing them with the tools and knowledge to be resourceful in their life-long process of career planning and life transitions.

We offer students career, personality and interest inventories, college transfer information and resources, individual appointments, workshops, success and transition skills information and employment opportunities.

Our goal is to enhance the college experience by empowering YCCC students in making informed career and academic choices and decisions!  

Whether you are struggling to determine your ideal major, or finding that perfect job, we are here to assist you with your career planning process. The Career & Transfer Services Office offers a wide variety of services for the YCCC student and alumni. Our office can help with: 

  • Choosing a Major
  • Assessments – discovering interests, values, and personality style.
  • Career Counseling – discussing skills, interests and values for decision-making
  • Resume and Cover Letters – helping to develop and critique
  • Job Interview Skills – providing role playing for mock interviews
  • Job Search Advising – organizing a proactive job search plan
