Once you have done your company research,
you have probably found a few companies that you are interested in who are
not posting openings at the moment. You should still contact them by phone
or with your resume. Go after them! If you are truly interested in the
work that they do and can see yourself contributing to their goals and
corporate mission, then let them know. If you are persuasive enough, when
the company does have an opening, you will probably get a call for an
interview. Many jobs are never posted publicly but employers are still
seeking candidates. If you have already made contact, sent your resume and
made a good impression, you are more likely to get a phone call before an
opening is even advertised.
