A
hot shower?

This morning I
got up and decided to take a warm shower!
It was cool when I woke up! My thermometer read 77 degrees F. ...the coolest
morning yet. And a breeze as well! My moto-driver claimed he was cold on the way
to work this morning (should have worn the long sleeves I guess)! So yes, indeed
-- today was a day for a warm shower.
I have three showers, two bathrooms (each with a toilet that has its own
"shower" too), and one bedroom in my place.
Today was the first hot shower I have taken since the day I moved into my
apartment. Of course, I've taken many showers (I promise!) but after day one, I
realized that one of the cold showers had the best water pressure and was
mounted high enough so that I didn't have to crouch down to get my hair wet.
Furthermore, considering that Cambodia is hot all year round - the
"cold" water is not anywhere near as "cold" as what comes
out of the faucet in Maine! And of course it has been so hot here that the cool
shower is refreshing and not at all unpleasant - even for a creature of comfort
with thin blood like myself. And if that isn't reason enough to move to the
cooler waters -- I have to pay the electricity used for the "hot"
shower-- so why add to my bills?
It was a nice shower this morning. But tomorrow I'm going back to the cold
shower - I think I have a neck ache.
