Divided attention research project:
In colloboration with Dr. Patricia Tun of Brandeis University, I
have been conducting cross cultural research on age-related changes in divided attention.
Testing is underway in Japan and in America to explore cultural differences in divided attention situations.
Our research volunteers are completing the the Divided Attention Questionnaire developed by Patricia Tun along with
a set of cognitive tasks. Mr. Yasutoshi Kawae of Miyazaki Japan has been a
primary collaborator in assisting with translations and testing in the Miyazaki
area. This research has been partially funded with research funding and support
from Miyazaki International College and by a postdoctoral research grant awarded
to Dr. Tun from the Japan Society for the Promotion of
