FACULTY ABSENCES

   

The procedure to follow should you find that you unexpectedly are not able to report to work is to call the receptionist between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. and give your name and the reason.  For multiple absences due to a continuing illness, please call in each day.  The department chairperson will be notified, your classrooms and office posted, and a note posted in the receptionist area stating that your classes will be canceled for the day.  You must clear absences that you know about in advance with the Vice President/Academic Dean.   Faculty must complete a leave request form obtained from the Business Office listing the number of sick days used.  This leave form is reviewed by the vice president/academic dean and signed for approval.  The leave request form must then be forwarded to the Business Office so an accurate leave record may be maintained.
