Learning CenterTutors - Fall 2008 Semester
York County Community College is currently accepting resumes for Learning Center tutors with day, evening and/or online availability. Learning Centers work on a part-time basis with flexible hours.
Mathematics
York County Community College's Learning Center is now accepting resumes for a part-time math tutor position to begin September 2, 2008 (15-20 hours per week) for the 2008-2009 academic year.
Primary job responsibilities include:
- providing group and individual tutoring from developmental math courses to Calculus I
- creating and presenting math topic workshops
- collaborating with math department faculty
Secondary job responsibilities include:
- assistance with training for the peer tutor program
- participation in professional tutor orientation and training program
Bachelor's degree in the field or a closely related field is required. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
This is a non-permanent, contracted position without benefits. Compensation will be at an hourly rate of 17.00 per hour. Review will begin immediately and continue until filled. Please send resume, letter of interest and the names of three references to the following (no phone calls please):

An Associate’s degree in the field or a closely related field is preferred. Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
