YCCC STAFFORD LOAN APPLICATION

 Please follow these instructions if you wish to apply for a YCCC Stafford loan:  

 PART 1:

 ____ I am applying for a 2007-2008 loan (include Fall 07, Spring 08 and or Summer 08)

____ I am applying for a 2008-2009 loan (include Fall 08, Spring 09 and or Summer 09)

We have recommended a Federal Stafford Loan amount as part of your Award Notification mailed to you. You may also view your award on the Financial Aid web page: Go to www.YCCC.edu , click on “Quicklinks”, select Financial Aid, and click on “Your SIMS Account”.

The amount indicated on the award is generally the maximum amount you may borrow for that award year. You may borrow any amount up to this maximum. You do not have to borrow the full amount, however, consider your borrowing needs for the entire award year when submitting this form.   Please print and submit this form to the Financial Aid Office.

The student, NOT the Financial Aid Office, selects which lender and guarantor they prefer. However, YCCC recommends the following lenders based on the following factors: quality of customer service, benefits to the students, and previous loan volume. Please indicate (on this form) the amount you wish to borrow next a lender. If you would like to choose a different lender you may go to www.famemaine.com, select “Education”, then “Loan Information”, view the “Lender Codes and Programs”, then indicate the Lender name and code number on this form.

PART 2:  

 A Master Promissory Note (MPN) is required for the Federal Stafford Loan program.  First-time borrowers will be mailed instructions on how to complete the MPN on-line. Returning students will not need to complete this step unless they are working with a new lender. Your student account will be credited once we receive your loan funds.
