YCCC Announces 2014 Commencement Speaker
Wells, ME – York County Community College (YCCC) announced last week that Timothy B. Hussey will give the commencement address during the college’s graduation ceremony, slated for 10 am on Saturday, May 17th at the Ogunquit Playhouse.
“Tim has been a strong supporter of the College since our founding 20 years ago.” said YCCC’s Interim President, Chris Hall. “Moreover he represents something very rare and distinguished – a family in which the qualities of entrepreneurship, leadership and care for community have been handed from generation to generation. Tim is truly a pillar of the community of York County, we are delighted and honored that he will be YCCC’s Commencement Speaker. ”
Mr. Hussey is President and Chief Executive Officer of Hussey Seating Company in North Berwick Maine, a 6th generation, family-owned business founded in1835, specializing in seating for gymnasiums, auditoriums, stadiums, and arenas. The Company has been identified as one of the 50 oldest family-owned businesses in the United States, and is a former award-winner of the Maine Family Business of the Year.
Tim received his bachelor’s degree from Colby College, and his M.B.A. from Cornell University. He currently serves as Chair of Educate Maine, and also serves as a Board Member of the RSU#21 School District. He resides in Kennebunk with his wife Marcia, and they have three children.
