Are Online Courses Right For You?

Online learning offers a convenient way to fulfill your coursework requirements. You can attend class at your convenience --- early in the morning, late at night, or whenever best fits your schedule. However, online learning also requires a unique personal commitment to your education.

YCCC wants you to be a successful online student. We want you to be fully prepared for the online experience before you actually register for an online course. You can assess your readiness for online learning by taking the three self assessments listed below. Click on the links on this page to help you decide if you are ready to take an online course - or not.

Self Assessments

How Do You Learn?

This assessment addresses your learning style and will help you assess the differences between a face-to-face learning environment and an online learning environment.

What Is Your Access To Technology?

This assessment addresses the technical capabilities of your computer.

What Computer Skills Do You Have?

This assessment addresses your current computer skills.
