On Monday, April 24th, York County Community College (YCCC) student Bryanna Smith was awarded a Coca-Cola New Century Scholarship. She received the honor during the Presidents Breakfast at the American Association of Community Colleges Convention which was held in New Orleans, LA. The program annually recognizes 52 Scholars with scholarships of $2,000 each, totaling $104,000 in awards. For more information about the Coca-Cola New Century Scholarship click HERE.
Smith was Maine’s award winner having received the highest Phi Theta Kappa All-USA Community College Academic Team application score in the state. Smith holds an A.A.S. from YCCC in Digital Media- Animation Concentration and will graduate May with her second degree, an A.A.S. in Information Technology and Certificate in Web Development. Smith will be attending Lyndon State College in fall and plans earn her B.A. in Animation/Illustration.
