YCCC Goes Smoke & Tobacco Free

Effective September 8, 2015, YCCC will be a Smoke & Tobacco Free Campus in compliance with the Maine Community College System. YCCC was awarded $5,000 from the National Legacy Foundation Grant as well as a mini grant for $500 from Choose To Be Healthy Coalition of York Hospital. Bryanna Smith, a second year YCCC Student in the Liberal Studies program has been hired as the Student Intern on this project. An advisory committee has been established led by Vice President and Academic Dean, Paula Gagnon. Mark Paradis and Deidre Thompson are the project leads. Throughout the semester we will be offering informational sessions, speakers, smoking cessation classes and smoke & tobacco free activities to the YCCC College Campus.
