Throughout the pandemic, YCCC has been following the guidance provided by the CDC. There has now been updated guidance on mask-wearing indoors, in areas where the COVID-19 community level is low or medium.

In these areas, masks may be worn based on personal preferences. With this information, the YCCC’s Wells and Sanford campuses will be mask optional beginning on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022.

  • This updated guidance is subject to change based on the status of the virus in York County.
  • Masks should be worn if you’ve been exposed to someone with COVID-19 or if you are between the 6th and 10th day after having COVID-19.
  • Masks may be required in classrooms on campus where students may be working in close proximity to each other.
  • All students, faculty, staff and visitors will still need to complete, and successfully pass, the LiveSafe app upon arrival.
