Net Price Calculator
The Net Price Calculator helps students better understand costs associated with full-time attendance at YCCC based on 2016-17 charges. Essentially estimates here are provided based on a student attending 15 credits per Fall, and 15 credits per Spring semesters (Full time). The average cost of a 3 credit course is approximately $350.00 (estimate includes tuition and fees for in-state students) plus the cost of a book/ supplies. An out-of-state student can expect a 3 credit course to cost approximately $626.00 plus the cost of a book/supplies.

Gainful Employment Disclosures

Federal regulations published in October 2010 require institutions to report certain information about students who enrolled in Title IV-eligible educational programs that lead to gainful employment (GE) in a recognized field. While all of the programs at YCCC are designed to lead to either employment or college transfer, the Department of Education requires that we provide disclosure information on the college’s one-year certificate programs. These programs include 2018-19 estimated costs:

Excepted Amount of Student Debt Upon Graduation* 
The average student loan debt YCCC graduates who complete college is $8,500.00. Approximately 25% of our students borrow for college, The average monthly loan payment for our student borrowers currently in repayment is $88.00 a month.

Your Right to Privacy – Privacy of Student Records (FERPA)

The College complies totally with the Family Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (also known as FERPA or the Buckley Amendment). No one outside the institution shall have access to, nor will the institution disclose, any information from students’ educational records without the written consent of students except to:

  • Personnel within the institution
  • Officials of other institutions in which students seek to enroll
  • Persons or organizations providing student financial aid
  • Accrediting agencies carrying out their accreditation function
  • Persons in an emergency in order to protect the health or safety of students or other persons

All the exceptions are permitted under the Act. At its discretion, the institution may provide directory information in accordance with the provisions of the Act. Such information may include: name, address, date of birth, telephone number, dates of attendance, class, previous institution attended, field of study, awards, honors, degrees, as well as participation in officially recognized sports and activities. Currently enrolled students may withhold disclosure of any category of directory information under the Act. To withhold disclosure, written notification must be received in the Registrar’s Office.
