Office of the President

Welcome to York County Community College!

The College Community is embarking on a new academic year and 2018-2019 promises to be an energizing one. We continue to offer a wide selection of excellent credit and non-credit courses, certificates and programs; we have specially tailored training for our industry partners; we have a vibrant Senior College and we offer a number of personal enrichment and cultural events for the citizens of York County such as our Eggs and Issues program featured six times during the academic year and the Visiting Artists series. We are also proud to be a partner with the York County Community College Foundation in its many efforts throughout the year to raise funds to support our students and programs.

During this academic year, we will be continuing to offer courses in a variety of designs to meet the needs of our diverse student body. You have the opportunity to take many of our classes online, during the two-week intersession in January 2019, over two seven-week Summer Sessions, or in seven-week formats embedded into our traditional semester.

We are pleased to highlight amongst our academic offerings this year a new Certificate in Small Business Management and an Associate’s Degree in Animal Care Management. Additionally, our first course in Additive Manufacturing will be offered at our Sanford Instructional site (Spoiler Alert: we are working to develop an entire program in this area to be launched in the 2019-2020 academic year).

YCCC is an excellent option for starting your higher education journey. We are affordable; we offer convenient on-site and on-line choices; and we are dedicated to and focused on student success (we are proud to be a member of the Achieving the Dream Network) and a quality academic and workforce-centered experience.

I look forward to seeing you soon and thank you for choosing YCCC!
