Covid-19 Vaccination Requirements

August 12, 2021

Due to a surge in COVID-19 cases and the latest information about the Delta variant, the Board of Directors of the Maine Community College System (MCCS) have voted to implement a vaccine protocol requiring all students attending classes in person at all Maine Community Colleges to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

All YCCC students must provide proof they received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine prior to attending their first in-person class. Students who require a second dose of a vaccine must provide proof of the second dose no later than 30 days from the date of their first in-person class. As a reminder, classes begin on September 13th, 2021. Students who are fully remote and will not be entering campus buildings for any purpose will not need to submit their vaccination documentation.
