Learn about the fall semester and what you might expect when you get on campus this fall. Given the impact of the coronavirus pandemic to keep you and the rest of our campus community safe, we are taking several measures and steps in order to reduce the number of people on campus this fall.
The Maine Community College System has implemented a variety of precautionary measures aimed at reducing the risk of transmission on campus of the virus that causes COVID-19. One significant precautionary measure advocated by public health officials and adopted by MCCS is the requirement to wear a disposable or cloth face covering.
This fund has been set up to assist those who may be impacted by the current college closure and change of course modality as a result of COVID-19. Funds and/or computer requests will be awarded to those students who may be facing emergency situations or unanticipated and compelling circumstances that jeopardize their ability to successfully continue in school. In Fall 2020, students are required to have a computer and a reliable internet connection, which in many cases can be covered by financial aid. But for our students who may need help meeting the technical needs to participate in courses online, MCCS and YCCC have announced a “Tech Promise ” to make sure new and incoming students have the technology and support they need to achieve academic success.
