Know the Real Facts About Alzheimer’s

Join us for YCCC’s Senior College upcoming lecture about Alzheimer’s Disease on Monday Sept. 28th. While receiving practical and useful information in a friendly environment This presentation will provide several different resources in the area as well as current and accurate information about Alzheimer’s.
• Do you wonder what normal memory loss is as you age?
• Do you wonder what the real signs of Alzheimer’s are?
• Do you want accurate information and resources?
• Do you know someone who has a diagnosis?
• Do you want practical tips on care-giving?
These are just a few reasons this presentation is important. There will be several different speakers to offer you the best information in a non-threatening environment.
Speakers include: Bill Kirkpatrick, Program Director from The Maine Alzheimer’s Association will present the 10 warning signs, an accurate overview of the disease and dementia followed by a question and answer session.
Home Instead Home Care will give a general overview of what non-medical home care is. Their RN/Trainer will present practical hands-on suggestions for family caregivers.
A Place to Start will explain who they are and what they offer. This non-profit was started after their own journey with their mother’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s. They are a free service set up to help families with an Alzheimer’s or related dementia diagnosis navigate this disease. They will help connect you with local resources.
There will be a 15-minute session for attendees to talk to the presenters in an individualized format at the end of the Presentation.
