The Hawk family is proud to announce the newest addition to the Athletic Department. Andy Clement will join the Hawks as the head coach for the Women’s and Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field program.

Clement is a recent graduate of the University of Maine (UMaine) where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology as well as his Master’s degree in Professional Science. While at UMaine, Clement was a member of the Track and Field team. During his time as a NCAA Division I student-athlete, he was a two-time recipient of the Track and Field Team Maine Award which is given to the student athlete with the highest GPA on each varsity team. He was also the recipient of the Elite 18 Award which is awarded to one male and one female in each sport in the America East Conference who exemplify excellence both in their sport and in the classroom.

Clement is a graduate of Falmouth High School where he was a dual sport student-athlete excelling in both cross country and track & field. He served as a captain for the Yachtsmen.

Both Clements’ extensive experience in the respective sports, as well as his philosophy on athletics made him an ideal candidate for the Hawks. “Andy believes in and embodies a student-first mindset when it comes to Athletics,” notes Acting Dean of Students, Jennifer Laney. “He truly understands the benefit to student-athletes of applying a holistic approach to athletics. We are really looking forward to his leadership at the helm of our programs.”

Clement is eager to begin his role: “I’m very excited to join YCCC,” noted Clement. “I’m looking forward to helping all of the student-athletes achieve their goals both on and off the field of competition”

Please help us welcome Coach Clement to our Hawks Athletic Department.
