YCCC Department of Economic and Workforce Development is pleased to offer a fresh new series of courses for anyone working in a public agency seeking to obtain or improve their leadership skills. People seeking advancement, newly appointed supervisors, commanders, Chiefs, or established leaders wanting to expand and refresh their knowledge.
Leadership in the Public Sector is a series of eight courses each containing ten hours of interactive instruction. The program is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the essential management concepts required to be an effective leader in public sector agencies. There is an emphasis on public safety but many of the concepts are universally applicable to public sector management.
Students will be awarded ONE Continuing Education Credit (CEU) for the completion of each course. Upon completing all 8 courses students will be awarded a Leadership in the Public Sector Certificate of Completion/8 CEU’s.
