On Saturday April 27, 2019 at 4pm the York County Community College (YCCC) Coed Club Soccer Team hosted the Central Maine Community College (CMCC) Mustangs in a scrimmage held at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, Maine. YCCC’s team is coached and advised by Deidre Thompson, the Coordinator of Student Involvement & Recruitment. The YCCC Coyotes led the game in the first half with a 2-0 lead. The second half the CMCC Mustangs scored 2 goals. The game finished in a tie 2 to 2.

After the game, Senior Captain Noah Perreault said “Being on the YCCC soccer club team is just like anything else in life; if you give it your all, play to have fun, and work together as a team, the definite result will, in one way or another, be a success!”

YCCC’s Club Soccer was started in the fall of 2018. They compete against other colleges & universities with coed club teams. They completed a four-game season traveling out of state for two games in the fall and will be offering it again in fall 2019. Students can participate in this fall sport by being enrolled with a minimum of six college credits at YCCC.
