Senior College Seeks Volunteer Instructors
posted in Senior College on October 11th, 2016
YCCC’s South Coast Senior College is seeking qualified volunteer instructors for its spring offerings (March – May 2017). Instructors are welcome to offer either a 1 – 2 hour lecture or 2 – 8 week course in their area of expertise. Although this is purely a volunteer opportunity our instructors benefit from the camaraderie of their peers, and sharing their knowledge, skills, hobby or heritage in a relaxed and fun social setting.
For more information please contact Arlene Jackson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 207.324.9273
South Coast Senior College is a casual learning environment open to everyone 50+ in York County and Seacoast NH for year-round and summer residents. There are no tests, no previous college experiences, no papers and no quizzes. These are non-credit courses taught and facilitated by volunteers (your peers). Cost is $25 for annual membership and an additional modest fee for each course. Most courses are held at York County Community College. South Coast Senior College is part of the Maine Senior College Network (MSCN), which began in 1997 at the University of Southern Maine in Portland, and is currently a consortium of 17 independent groups from York County to Fort Kent.
