SARA – National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements. YCCC is approved by the state of Maine to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA). It is intended to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by colleges based in another state.
Transfer Success at YCCC
Brianna was homeschooled for her high school degree and began dual enrollment courses at YCCC in the Fall of 2016. She matriculated into YCCC’s Liberal Studies program (American Studies focus) in Fall 2018 and graduated in May 2019.
Tell us a little about where you are headed!
I am headed to Liberty University to major in Political Science! Because I’ve finished my first two years here at YCCC, I will only have to be there two years before I will graduate with my Bachelor’s in Government: Politics and Policy.
What are you most excited about?
I will be only three hours from Washington, D.C., which means I’ll be close to where I’ll be living when I’m President someday!
Do you have any advice to share with YCCC students?
I’m trying my hardest to go through college debt-free, and I have been incredibly blessed when it comes to scholarships! My advice would be to apply to every and any scholarship – and start early. You can find all kinds of scholarships online (College Board is a great place to start) or through the school, you’ll be attending, but there’s also many to be found locally. You’ve got this!
Fall Semester Update:
Brianna was accepted into a competitive internship program and will be working at the White House during her spring semester!! While receiving credits for her internship in D.C., Brianna will also be taking two online courses at Liberty. We are thrilled for Brianna as working at the White House has always been her dream and she is well on her way to making it a reality!
