Allyson Grochmal

Allyson Grochmal is the Director of Admissions and High School Relations at York County Community College. Allyson is responsible for overseeing the overall strategic vision of the YCCC Admissions Department, specifically working with student-athletes and Maine and New Hampshire high school students, with a high emphasis on recruiting. Allyson received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport. She also holds a K-12 Special Education Certification from Granite State College.

 

Allyson began her time at York County Community College in Fall of 2020 as an Enrollment Coordinator. In Spring of 2021, she transitioned to the position of Director of Admissions. Prior to her time at YCCC, Allyson was the Coordinator of Student Life at Great Bay Community College. Allyson resides in Rollinsford NH with her husband and two little boys. She likes to spend time at the beach, exploring the outdoors with her family, and relaxing with her rescue dogs.

Lucas began his time as an Admissions Coordinator with YCCC in the Fall of 2022. He works with dual enrollment students and is the representative of the EMBARK Program in York County. He has lived in Maine all his life. Prior to coming to YCCC he was an English Teacher at Massabesic High School. He has a Bachelors in English Literature and attended the Extended Teacher Education Program at the University of Southern Maine. In his spare time, he enjoys spending quiet nights at home with his cats, reading, writing, or playing board games.

Jaclyn is an Admissions Coordinator at York County Community College. She began her time with YCCC in Fall of 2021. Jaclyn is responsible for working with prospective students in our competitive Nursing and Veterinary Technology Programs. Prior to working at YCCC, Jaclyn worked at the University of New England as a Graduate Admissions Coordinator. She is currently working toward her Master’s Degree in Nutrition. In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks on the beach with her dog, Bacchus and watching Harry Potter.

Kayla began her time is an Admissions Coordinator at York County Community in Fall of 2021. She enjoys spending time building meaningful relationships with Maine Adult and Community Education Centers. Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education and is a Certified Orton-Gillingham tutor for dyslexic students. She recently moved to Maine from Massachusetts and is enjoying exploring the area and making new friends. Her favorite thing about YCCC are the many unique opportunities it gives to everyone.
