It is with great regret that we have decided to postpone our traditional commencement ceremony. We had held out hope that the daily guidance from federal and state health officials might give us the chance to hold our commencement ceremony as scheduled. But, the efforts to flatten the curve in Maine and across the country are being extended, and Federal CDC guidelines have said large gatherings should be postponed through at least mid-May.

There are few moments so inspiring and exciting as graduation, which makes this news heartbreaking for all of us, especially our graduating students. To the Class of 2020 and your proud families, I understand this news may be disappointing. Please know that we are committed to holding a future ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2020’s accomplishments. We will be sharing more information with the community in the coming weeks about our plans.
